About Me
I'm Chris Hunter, 51 years old, and I came to yoga later in life. For years, I wanted to try it, but lacked the confidence to walk into a class — I had this image in my head of super-flexible, experienced people twisting into impossible shapes.
Eventually, at 42, stressed out, unfit, and leading an unhealthy lifestyle due to work and habits, I saw an advert for a beginner’s class with a male teacher (Carlo Ferroni). I thought, *if not now, then when?* I signed up — and from the first moment I stepped onto the mat, I felt completely at home, like I’d always known yoga.
Since that day, yoga has become a daily part of my life — not just the physical asana practice, but also meditation and breathwork (pranayama). In April 2019, I travelled to Rishikesh, India, to complete my 200-hour teacher training at Yoga Vini. At the time, I had no intention of teaching — I simply wanted to deepen my practice and understanding.
But shortly after I returned, a friend relocating for work offered me her regular class in Troon. With a mix of nerves and curiosity, I said yes — and my teaching journey began.
Always eager to learn more, in 2021 I began another 12-month training with my teacher Jo Lockhart (YogaJos) in Milngavie, earning my second 200-hour certification in Hatha Raja Yoga in June 2022. At the same time, I completed a 50-hour Yin Yoga training with Melissa Corazon, graduating in May 2022.
From there, I went straight into a 300-hour advanced training focused on Yoga and Mindfulness for modern life — exploring therapeutic yoga in relation to mental health, accessibility, and physical rehabilitation. I graduated in August 2023.
This year, in 2025, I completed a 100-hour training in Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series — which also forms the foundation of my personal daily practice.
In addition to teaching my own classes, I now assist Jo in both the 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training programs at YogaJos.
I’m deeply committed to my own practice and passionate about making yoga accessible to everyone. Whether we meet on a mat, in a chair, or upside down in a headstand, we move, breathe, and explore how to live with more freedom, awareness, and ease — together.

About
Caroline Keenan
I attended my first yoga class when I was 19 years old. At thetime I didn’t realise the significance of this experience in igniting my passion for yoga, and how important my own yoga practice would have on the rest of my life. I practice yoga to accept things as they are in the moment, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I am passionate about using yoga to heal the body and mind, and my background in psychotherapy complements this. I teach yoga as a therapeutic tool and weave through elements of Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga.
I have practiced yoga on and off throughout my life and immersed myself in the experience of this in India in 2007 before going onto to train as a yoga teacher. I trained at YogaJo’s studio in Milngavie completing 200-hour teacher training in 2020, and 300-hour advanced teacher training forusing yoga therapeutically in 2023. I quickly became obsessed with understanding the science and philosophy of yoga and have completed numerous courses including advanced teacher training in Ashtanga and Yin Yoga and numerous other courses to integrate my learning and understanding of how to practice and teach.
